Milani 2 in 1 foundation

Who doesn't want an affordable foundation that matches up with the premium brands???
As much as I love a good quality foundation the prices of some can be quite pricey.

Products used for this look:

Milani foundation 09 Tan
Benefit Ka Brow shade 5
Benefit Gimme brow shade 5
Mac Raizin blush
NYX lingerie beauty mark ( I thought I picked up teddy)

I've mainly been using Nars all day luminous weightless but at £32 a pop I wanted to find something for casual days and the days I want to experiment with different makeup looks.

However this Milani 2 in 1 foundation + concealer is good value for money but I will give my honest opinion

What it claims to do;

Medium to full coverage
Lightweight
Oil free
Long wearing
Water resistant
Sweat proof

I found the coverage really good but the formula is really thick so be careful not to squirt too much out!

This foundation is by far not sweat proof I wore it on a hot day with no air conditioning at work and my face was practically melting off!! Other than claiming its sweat proof and lightweight everything else it claims to do is pretty accurate.

For the price I would say its a good foundation just not for hot days would be great for winter.

It took me a while to find a website that had my colour in stock but there are plenty of uk websites that stock Milani products.

Bey inspired

So I purchased thes jeans last summer and have been meaning to do a Bey inspired look ever since spotting BeyoncĂ©  wearing the same jeans from H&M let's face it it's not always we see high profile celebs wearing affordable clothing so thought i would get inspired even if it's just a casual look.

I'm such a fan of ripped denim I have more ripped jeans than plain jeans some I've brought ripped some I have accidentally ripped and some I have purposely ripped tbh I find plain jeans pretty boring but not every outfit needs a ripped pair of jeans.

Although this is a celeb inspired outfit by no means do I think I'm BeyoncĂ© just though I'd put that out there!

Misguided have a pair very similar for £35

You could also save yourself some money and customise a pair of old jeans to make them look like this.

Sleek cream contour kit

I'm such a big fan of sleek products and have been for a while when they first launched you could only find them in hair shops now they are in Boots Superdrug and Tesco. There colour range is really good for all skin tones but saying that I do feel when they first launched they especially catered for brown skin tones and now they are more established  they've started to shy away from their main focus!

Cream or powder?

I haven't really experimented much with different products over the past year or so I've kind of stuck with the same products back and fourth between the Black Opal cream foundation stick in beautiful bronze and the Sleek face form in medium.

So when sleek announced they where bringing out a contour kit for a fraction of the price of the very popular anastasia Beverly Hills kit I had to give it a try.

Sleek cream contour kit in Dark

As I've never purchased a cream contour kit I have nothing to compare it with but I can give my honest opinion on first impressions and a final thoughts.

First impressions

Packaging is very slick and simple at the time of buying I had long nails and struggled to get it open.

The consistency is soft and creamy.

Price is very reasonable at only £10.99

A total of six different shades and a leaflet explaining where each colour goes.

All though the product is soft and creamy  it takes a bit of effort to blend not so good if your in a rush.

I've only had this product for a month and I've already hit pan on the darkest shade

You have to really build this product up if you want your contour to be noticeable

The highlight colours don't really highlight I think the colours can look quite flat.

So my final review...

Great affordable product if like me you only wear a subtle contour it's fine however I think they could of named the shades different as I purchased this in the dark shade I think darker skin tones would struggle to get a noticeable contour with the darkest shade in the palette which is a shame as its meant to be a brand for brown skin tones.
As I only actually use 2 to 3 colours out of the whole kit I don't think I would purchase again.
I also found that it lasted longer throughout the day if I set the cream with my face form powder.

Good value for money but I think I'm going to try out some other brands.

I'm back ......

To say I've gone awol is a bit of an understatement.
Trying to stay consistent with blogging has become some what of a challenge but I love blogging all though sometimes life throws you challenges and what makes you happy gets put on a back burner, I don't think I will ever stop blogging.
Hopefully in the future my blog posts will become more of a regular acurance!!!

Now let's talk fashion
All though this skirt is probably sold out in every existent H&M I still had to share as I love it so much

The colour...the details....the fit
I couldn't resist despite it doing the rounds on Instagram I still got it I'm not keen on buying stuff that everyone's wearing it usually puts me off wanting it.which can be hard at times when most of clothes come from high street stores that everything's mass produced.

I also found this fab gold and faux leather bangle in H&M which helped bring the outfit together as everything else was very simple.

Skirt H&M £29.99
Polo neck Primark £3.00
Bangle H&M £1 (sale item)
